I’d sort of hoped to see someone give this moronic Eason Jordan “scandal” the brief puncturing it deserved, and Matt Welch obliges with a nice post this morning. I think some bloggers, especially on the right, have gotten so addicted to the high of feeling like you’ve scooped the lumbering, liberal “MSM” that they’re forcing themselves to scrape ever deeper for non-stories like this, which they then convince themselves are hugely important controversies being inexplicably (or rather, in a way explicable only by nefarious bias) ignored by everyone else. Memo to the ‘sphere: Not every idiot remark that gives you in an excuse to indulge in a ten-minute fit of self-righteous high dudgeon is, ipso facto, news.
