I may have just engineered the biggest obstacle to getting my ass out of bed since the heyday of Kozmo.com, which (for New Yorkers) made even the five minute stroll required to pick up damn near anything unnecessary. I’ve set up a wireless network connecting my notebook and desktop. Fast enough to watch streaming video, even. So now, I can just leave the thing alongside my pillow and flip it open whenever I want to start working. Voila, instant access to everything on the desktop. Also handy since I’ve got a lot more free space on the notebook, which I can now use from the desk. If I ever get out of bed. And I can live my longstanding dream of surfing the web from the bathroom…
