erm, kinda funny. sorta like sucker punching a straw man, which I guess is funny, if you’re into that. and you’d probably only be into that if you were an unthinking ass, who enjoyed undercutting other creative efforts in a public forum for the purposes of advancing your own reputation (which consists of very little aside from said sucker punches).
Oh, lighten up. I’m a fan of Sedaris — the guy is funny and entertaining. And the idea of him approaching a mundane commercial interaction using the tropes of his storytelling style is amusing, plus the video is very well executed. There’s nothing mean-spirited here. Shirt-tails flapping in the breeze like unambitious dragons? That’s some funny shit.
