At least not every old piece is wince-inducing. A vanity-Google this morning turned up a blogger linking to this old Reason piece on “judicial tyranny”—which I’m still surprisingly happy with, given that I think I’d knocked it out so quickly I had forgotten about it. One of the rare cases where I still like the closing graf, since usuallly by that point in the article, I’m just in a hurry to get the thing filed and done. Which is a shame, because a satisfying last sentence is almost as crucial as a hooky lede.

Oh goodness, we were just engaged in a round of competitive vanity googling in my shared office at work (googling each other, mind you, not ourselves, to find the silliest results, or things that would possibly render the other non-date-able, since that’s what brought the whole thing up). Anyway, I learned that, according to google, I (that would be the I that goes by my full name) am apparently an uber-right-winger who drinks a lot. I think something needs to be done about this.
