I have a couple observations relating to Cato. First, we wear blue jumpsuits, much like the ones in Team America. Second, Palmer’s blazer was spot-on! (Palmer is not forced to wear a jump suit.) Third, I’m under the impression that Charles Koch doesn’t give Cato money any more. David Koch is on the board though, and it is not inconceivable that he has a chip in his head that allows him to be manipulated by Charles with a joystick. Fourth, Cato does not have pillars. This is a security measure, lest we be bombed by a Rourke-style terrorist defending the aesthetic principles of high modernism. Otherwise, this may be the best thing I have ever seen.
By the way, at what point do you start worrying about the percentage of people who support any given position of yours who are utter loons? Clearly you don’t worry if, say, 10% of any given peer group you’re a member of are utter loons. 20%, I would think it would be embarrassing but not devastating. But there’s got to be a point where you look around and question yourself, right?
I was afraid of trying to watch W.o.W.-style animations, then I decided to expend the effort of doing that. Yes, at first, I was happy to be
watch p.o.v.-gamed-based animations. It seemed
exciting and magical, especially for DJ Chris’ “Fett’s ‘Vette” and the sort-of-tolerable ones for Jonathan Coulton’s songs. But then I viewed this. I sat through all 09:27 of this ill-paced, boring and insanely in-jokey stuff, physically pushing my eyeballs forward in time to get through it faster and because of this clip, I’m never again viewing games-based web-animations again!
That being said, I’m glad the creators didn’t try to completely duck the issue; for people who believe in personal responsibility \”uber alles….
EastCoastLibertarian, that’s clearly not necessary. We already shoot each other on a daily basis.
And in any case, to conform to all the genre rules, it should be death by throat-slitting… but only after the pre-emptory hand-spitting and black flag raising.

“Ok, so here’s the plan. We kill everyone inside, and rescue Lew.”
You gotta admit, it’s a hell of a plan.

So that’s what the special projects are! Things have certainly changed since I interned there.

Hmmmm…
I wonder if there are any plans for a video game version.
A multiplayer deathmatch type game could be interesting. 😛

Speaking as someone who spent the entire night playing speed chess, that has to be the dorkiest thing I’ve seen in ages. Funny stuff.

Well, contra South Park, here’s one thing The Simpsons haven’t already done . . . .

Julian, I have to admit I was expecting more of a musical kinda thing from you. I would like to see them dueling by song too.

I think Niskanen should wear a monocle.
It’s a pity that it starts off portraying Rockwell as using the dreaded “a” article in front of “categorical imperative.”

Hey, this video uses the word “fruition” in regard to Tom Palmer — clearly homophobic!

Market-Based Management needs some tweaking, as far as prison facilities are concerned.
