Mobius and his friend Dan are in town for the big anti-capitalist bruhaha, and it took about 15 minutes for one of them to be arrested (follow Mobius’s link for details). Ironically, transit — which the march/actions had been intended to shut down — was probably smoother this morning, because the police’s throw-em-in-busses-indiscriminately strategy had the streets cleared by 8:30, and so many people opted not to drive that the roads were ultimately clearer than usual. Oh, and this is my favorite: Dan is quoted by an AP reporter as saying “I hope we don’t get arrested in the first five minutes.” On Fox News, no less.
