Saturday morning, November 19 is the D.C. Help the Homeless Walkathon, and a friend at The Atlantic Monthly informs me that his fine, fine publication has volunteered to sponsor a gaggle of walkers. Or, um, thon-ers. Whichever.
Anyway, the upshot is, if I know you even vaguely and you feel like (and think you’ll be capable of) getting down to the mall at 8:30 on a Saturday morning, drop a note in the comments and I’ll make sure your name’s on their list. If you’re still awake afteward, we can go get a nice brunch and feel morally righteous.

Hey Julian-
If you still can, y’all should register with N St. Village – an incredible shelter that does amazing work for many women, and where I spend a few nights a week as an overnight volunteer (thus I’ve been absent at poker). http://www.nstreetvillage.org
I’ll be out of town that weekend, but I think I’m just going to register and not show. /end plug.
Happy thonning!
