This thing needs a call-record feature. Because actually, between SMS, e-mail, and IM, almost the only time I actually make a voice telephone call is to conduct an interview.

The Treo can do this pretty handily; I agree it’d be a nice feature. You could accomplish the same thing via Grand Central‘s Click2Call and Call Record features, though.

Just wait until you crack the fucking screen and have to pay $249 to repair it, and $30 for the phone to use while they repair it.
Otherwise, it’s a great phone, and you’ve hit all the things they need to do to make it damn near perfect.

I use the grandcentral version of this, too, and it is great (Call Record). You just press 4 during a call, an automated voice informs that the recording is happening, then 4 again to stop the recording. I imagine that you may also like the fact that you could have a separate number for interviews that will forward to your iPhone, with all voicemails and recordings appearing in your normal mail inbox. It’s free by invite and I have some still, happy to pass one along if you are interested in trying.
