Serenity beats out Star Wars for best sci-fi flick of all time.

well one thing i have to say is star wars is a great movie. serenity is good but not a classic like star wars. and you have the wrong picture with the wrong name.
and one more thing empire strikes back is the best sci-fi movie of all time.

I’m a big fan of Firefly and Serenity and not that much of a Star Wars fanboy (though I enjoyed the original three a lot) but I have to say I’m not sure I’d class Serenity as the best of the genre, smashing though it is.
Incidentally, I think one of the interesting things about it is the fact that both Star Wars and Serenity (although I suppose it more applies to Firefly) are basically derived from other existing genres and films. Neither are particularly original.
