You know, I’ve always had a vague suspicion that a large part of the appeal of antiglobo protest was the social scene, not to mention the opportunity to flirt with attractive young people in revealing hand-stitched Guatemalan attire. Now, there’s proof.
Update: Wow, am I a dunce… I missed the best part. Commenter Andy points out that these are nothing more than the same personals service provided by Spring Street Networks for sites like Salon and The Onion—they’ve just rebranded it to appeal to the lefty-activist demographic. Like those dozens of sorting slots at the Post Office that we’ve always secretly suspected just empty into one huge bin. Priceless. I do feel a bit slighted, though… surely a service that treats romance like a market should’ve branded itself for the laissez-faire set too.
