I was a little surprised to see that the new On Nozick from the Wadsworth Philosophers Series includes a reference to my 2001 interview.
I’ve only skimmed it so far, but first reaction: it’s not as awful on face as the A.V. Lacey survey from Princeton’s series, and it looks like an excellent introduction to his political ideas for someone who either wants a quick refresher or isn’t yet ready to wade into Nozick’s full texts. It does seem a little odd to call a book “On Nozick” and then deal only with the argument of Anarchy, State, and Utopia, though. He did, after all, write five other books. Maybe Nozick’s Political Philosophy or something like that would’ve been more apt. Anyway, for my money, the best book on Nozick so far is still David Schmidtz’s excellent essay collection.
