Just in case you thought the Clinton administration was unique in its proclivity for making embarassing documents vanish, Tim Dunlop notes in a post on Stand Down that Bush et. al. stripped 8,000 (yes. eight thousand.) pages from the Iraqi declaration before turning it over to the U.N. And on those missing pages? Why, the names of U.S. corporations and government agencies that provided assistance to Iraq in developing its weapons programs. This should be front page news. It’s total omerta outside a couple small dailies and a few European papers. Where the hell is that famous “liberal media” when you need ’em, eh?
